best: 25
worst: 16
average: 19

stop and go with a few open stretches across 10 miles to work one way.

My first few tanks I got 25 because I was babying the car...then I found the turbo. The best I've gotten since then off of one tank was 22. I wanted to see if getting on the turbo a lot had a great influence on gas mileage...guess so. (but not enough to NOT get on the turbo :lolhttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

For the first 1000 miles when I kept in under 4kRPM I was getting 25MPG. Now, on my daily commutes to work (6 minutes), I get about 20MPG. I drive pretty hard to/from work.

I usually get about 27MPG on the interstate and about 22MPG locally.

However, recently I have not even been getting 16MPG after my snorkusectomy and amsoil install. But, I have also reset the ECU 4 times in the past week and a half... not giving the computer time to average things out. (snorkusectomy, amsoil, radio install, then fixing radio install)

This is my weekly driving:

160 miles from Albany to NYC
+ then 4 miles in NYC
+ 160 miles from NYC to Albany
= 26-29mpg

and

100 miles mixed highway, city, = 23-26mpg.

I have a GT, so ignore if nessicary...

I *used to get* 18/20mpg when I did not commute (so the car was "tuned" for performance)...

Now I commute, so I drive like a grandma and get 22/25mpg.

I got 340miles out of 14gals on my last tank... that is the best I have *ever* had...

I just filled my tank and checked the mileage today. ~27 mpg. That was about half freeway and half city driving. There are just over 1000 miles on the car at this point.

17MPG usually... I've got a very heavy foot, so I'm sure once I get the turbo on, my mileage will actually go UP. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

20-21 mpg. I shift at 2k! What the heck?

Edit: Duh, forgot to say that this is for street driving. It's not stop and go either.

Usually around 22mpg on the commute (mostly highway, some stop and go), which is too low for my tastes. I did get 29 one tank on my way to Western NY, all highway. But that's a feat I've yet to match...

Someone tell me the mileage will get better once the engine gets worn in past 2000 miles!!!

Good tank lasts 360 miles

Tank with tracktime 300 miles.

Dream tank: 400 miles (Can it be done?)

Best: Dunno...
Worst: 10http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/eek.gif (all track)

i used to get 16-18 on stock everything but intake...put in a new exhaust and some denso iridiums...reset ecu...and voila...higher gas milage =)

Not sure if any of you care about a Forester's mileage, but here goes.

About the same as what you've all posted...
16-19 with a 45minute (18 mile) commute in the worst stop and go traffic in the world. And that mileage is with an A/T.

Highway trip to Tampa this past weekend i got about 22 mpg. (haulin' butt both ways!)

These are with the 2.5, AT, K&N drop-in, Borla header, and universal performance muffler...

Before with turbo 12-16MPG
now with EMS, looks better, I 'll have to see exactly what after it's tuned, since right now I'm just flogging it everywherehttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

These WRX numbers are depressing! One argument to my wife for getting one was better mileage. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif I'm guessing it'll be much worse with the turbo. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lildevil.gif
My Mercedes ML430 can get 20-22mpg!

DoinkMobb

I'm getting about 25-27 mpg hwy and city combined. I can get about 215+ miles on one tank of gas. I read somewhere that my gas tank is 11.2 gallons but its def not much more than 8 gallons. 8.5 gal overflowed the tank, that kinda sucked.

Best ever is 28

Typical 15.

How on earth are some people getting over 30+???????????

Skylab

Iowa... Higher than stock tire pressure helps. I've got four tires @ 36psi. Conservative driving too. Umm...California has smooth freeway's with no potholes. Dunno...But I'm pleased with the mileage in the Scooby.

In the WRX I get about 15 when im driving heartily, 20-22 on the expressway. Not what I was expecting, but im sure it will sort itself out eventually, with 2300 miles and 4 weeks it still seems to get better every tank.

Filled it up twice so far.

First one: 24 MPG
Second one: 22.5 MPG

First tank was a higher percentage of highway driving. Next tank will be mostly slow city (35 MPH, plenty of stoplights), so I'm not expecting it to go up real soon.

Now with the 2.2l turbo motor and running rich I get 18mpg on the highway and like 12mpg in the city.....we need to do some tuning.

Just out of curiosity, when you guys say you are averaging x-amount of miles what total number are you basing this on. Meaning what is your total gas tank capacity number that you are using??
This post is inaccurate unless we come up with a gas tank capacity that WE ALL use, otherwise this is pointless. This would also explain how some people average more per tank than others. Also, to get a better sence of milage we should all do this as soon as the light comes on. This way we can call this a full tank and get more consistent numbers.

I usually average 320-330 per tank until the light comes on. So thats 320/14=22.8 to the gallon.

just my .01 rubels.

flyboy

My daily commute is about 80 miles round-trip, so I fill up twice a week.

average: 24+ mpg
range: 350 miles, easily

Note: almost all of of my daily driving is on the freeway (maybe 1-2 miles city), so I don't get many chances to push the rex, which may explain why my fuel economy is so good...

Felix

[edit]
Greg: I always top off the tank (yeah, yeah, you're not supposed to do this, whatever...) and reset the odo at gas stops.
So... I just divide the miles traveled with the number of gallons of happy-juice I've added.
