Well, the SBC-iD works, I rewired everything to stock and then did it again. I used a Digital Mutlimeter and tapped into the 12v power source.
Now my gauge cluster and boost gauge wont light up. Could it be a fuse. Im hella conFused
You're just having tons of fun aren't you? ;)
How did you connect to the wires? T-taps? Use the multimeter to test the connection to make sure you're getting a reading when the parking lights are turned on. I know that with T-taps, they fail to cut through the wire correctly and you'll get a bad connection so double-check everything.

I tried with Parking Lights on, Driving Lights on, High Beams, multimeter read 12.47
Was it working before? You tapped the illumination from the radio right? The wire is either going to be violet or orange/white.

It wouldn't hurt to check the fuse. . don't know if it's under the driver's dash or in the engine compartment though.
Calvin
Nevermind. . looked it up for you. . .driver's dash fuse #9.

I PM'd you my AIM username so it'll be easier to chat if you want.

Did you turn the dimmer switch? jk
AC and other center cluster lights on? Could you have crossed an instrument light ground? Keep in mind that Subie uses ground switched controlled lighting if you somehow fed a light ground 12v+, this is equivalent to turning the dimmer switch all the way down to off.

that might be the problem can you tell me more about this!!!

Based on my understanding Subaru switches and controls all lights through the ground wire.
What this means is that the dash lights have constant 12v+ on the positive wire. When you turn your lights on, the ground wire is ground through the switch. When your dimmer is turned all the way up it will read ~0v on a meter - i.e. it is grounded. As you turn your dimmer down it will start reading positive voltage (yes on the ground wire) the higher the voltage the dimmer the lights are. Effectively with the dimmer turned all the way down it will read ~12v+ on the ground wire - i.e. it is no longer ground at all.
Someone who knows more about the technicals of electricity may explain it better by talking about resistance created and so on but I think I have the layman explaination down. There is a thread about gauge lights currently active that talks about this - might hi-jack it for post or pm one of the more knowledgeable on that thread.
To test my theory I would turn the lights on and get a multi meter and see if what is supposed to be the dash light ground has any + voltage going through it. i.e. little red contact on the ground wire and the little black contact on a real ground. If you are getting 12v+ to the light ground you have crossed a wire somewhere - same effect as turning your dimmers to minimum.
darky,
did you try to disconnect your aftermarket gauge's electrical connections? try that. if that doesn't remedy your situation check fuse 9 & 10. they both feed the parking lights circuits.
where did you tap for your parking lights? try tapping Pin 15 violet off the integrated module with the blue plug b281. the intergrated module is on the upper right side of the fuse box in the driver side dash.
let us know how you make out!
