Use the steps that apply to your install Subaru boost gauge install instructions (https://ssl.autocenter.net/webparts/acatalog/page1.html) drees 05-10-2003, 03:19 PM What sedonawrx means is this (I'm in the same boat): He's got an autometer gauge with the nylon line. How do you hook up the nylon line to the tee? The only thing I've come up with is to use a short section of 1/8" rubber hose (windshield washer hose or similar) and then shove the nylon hose into the washer hose and secure with zip-ties. Is there a better way to directly attach the nylon hose to the tee with an autometer boost gauge? Mulder 05-10-2003, 03:53 PM Do NOT connect a boost gauge to the wastegate lines. This is "filtered" boost/vacuum through the boost controller and restrictors and you won't get accurate readings from it. The gauge must have a direct manifold connection. Any hose attached to the manifold can be tapped although the bypass/BOV hose is the most commonly used and probably most convenient. CpnNeeda 05-11-2003, 07:02 PM I used the vaccuum hose that comes off the BOV. The easiest way to do it, is to tee in with another peice of vaccuum hose, run it all the way to the boost gauge, then, use a very short section of the nylon hose provided to connect the vaccuum hose to the gauge. Do a search for Autometer Boost Slow Response fix, or something of that nature. It may be on scoobymods.com but I am not sure. If you find it, it tells you, with pics, of how to do it properly. It can be a bit tricky, but I have put in 2 different boost gauges, and have had no problems whatsoever. Good Luck. |
