I am interested in the Defi Link Display and am not sure what all is required for it to function. I know that you need a control unit and the display itself...but I am somewhat confused when it comes to the sensors...Dor I have to purchase each sensor that I am wanting to display? Or can I tap into the ECU lines for sensors that already exist...as in the EGT, boost, etc...
Any help is much appriciated.

The display alone will read speed and RPM. Everything else needs a sensor.

Yes it connects to the control module

Here's the sensors:

And what it can display.

Speedometer 0 to 400km/h, 0 to 240MPH
Oil Temperature Meter 50 to 150oC, 122 to 302oF
Water Temperature Meter 20 to 120oC, 68 to 248oF
Oil Pressure Meter 0 to 1,000kPa, 0 to 145PSI
Fuel Pressure Meter 0 to 600kPa, 0 to 87PSI
Exhaust Temperature Meter 200 to 1,100oC, 390 to 2,010oF

Also an interesting side note is that the display doesn't show boost. You need a boost gauge for that. It kinda pissed me off but the Defi BF boost gauge is so sexy I'll live.

Sparks: Are you sure it displays rpm. It will show a warning at the preset levels but doesn't show the actual rpm. And it's a seperate wire that plugs into the controller not the display unit.

This screen displays a warning when the Tachometer exceeds the engine RPM set warning value.

Pressing the MODE SELECT button while in Speed Mode will bring up the Triple Warning Mode when the RPM signal wire is connected to Defi-Link Control Unit II or Defi-Link Control Unit.
* This mode is not available when connected to Defi-Link Meter BF.

What about this...
PDF00603S Boost sensor for it...I think that is right...but I'm double checking...

The tach wire doesn't come with the controller or the display. You have to buy that seperately. It does not show rpm just a warning light.
