Take heart. A lot of southerners got cars today. They've arrived in Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. Texas can't be far behind.

I called my dealer this morning (North Park Subaru in San Antonio), and they said that mine is coming this week. They've got a shipment confirmation or something or other, but can't nail down a specific time. So... soon. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

Very good news indeed! As long as it comes in before this weekend, I'll be happy. I'm flying back into Texas this weekend, so the soonest I can pick up my car is this Saturday.

But then I leave for California again on Monday morning. It'll be a great Sunday though!

You and me both. I'm working in California right now and don't get back from LA until Saturday... at least someone in the office here in LA is picking up his WRX tomorrow so I'll at least get to see one. Makes it easier to explain to the folks that "yes, I did see one before I bought it.."

I drove 800 miles to deadbolt's dealer to get my RS!

My dealer in Dickinson (south of Houston) told me that my car is going to be sitting at the Rail Yard in Dallas until at least 2 more weeks while they transfer ownership of the dealerships. Talk about PISSED! I have been waiting 7 years for a WRX! Now I have to wait on some stupid dealership paperwork to go through. I guess it wouldn't have been too bad, but I am selling my current car tomorrow and will be bumming rides until my WRX gets here.

Anyway, if any of you houstonites get your car, I want to take a peek when you get it. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

Jerry @ North Park Subaru in San Antonio just called to tell me that the truck w/ my WRX has arrived! They are unloading it now.

Yep. I got the call today also. My dealer enigmatically suggested that it'll be here tomorrow.

Update!! The cars are here!!

However...I can't touch until tomorrow. They've gotta PDI 'em and apparently the techs don't want any of us squirly kids getting near the maintenance bays at the dealership.

My dealer assured me they'd put 93 octane in it and he said it should be here tomorrow.

i went by my dealer yesterday (here in Beaumont TX) and they had their ONLY wrx. it was white, 4 door, and guess what? they let me drive her http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif i bought my RS from them. good guys. anyways you should get your car on time.

Wow... that yellow car is mine. Literally... I ordered it from North Park about a month ago, it arrived yesterday, and I haven't been in town to get it. I can't pick it up until Monday, though.

oh well. I did get to sit in a friend's silver wagon today, and so I have a quick fix..
