I was watching this program, Motorsport Mundial on the SPEED CHANNEL, that I watch when I'm up late and they usually air UK club rallies, alot of which feature the Ford Focus, Ford Puma, MG's rally car, and sometimes a Metro 6R4. Well last night they aired the true sport of rallycross, which is a head-to-head race of rally cars along a paved and dirt course. Anyway, they had one class called the Super class, which featured some real hopped up Ford Focuses and a RS200. From the look of it, these super-modded cars accelerated from the starting start to at least 60mph in less than 3-4 seconds :eek:

Hopefully they air more action of this kind, because its really cool to watch! Just wanted to bring it to attention. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. :D

It's always cool when they show British Rallycross on Mundial. You see old Group B rally cars and a glimpse of what Group B might be today if it continued. In the fastest class the cars are in the 500-650hp range and can do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds.

Saw it this morning...very cool. Also, check your listings for the Targa New Foundland on Speed. Very cool event and its on for an hour.

I just got the speed channel about 15mins ago (directtv hooked up), I turn it and and blamo - nascar! Oh how I've missed you speed.

Now I have another reason to keep my eye on this forum. No longer will I be jealous of those threads saying whats cool on speed, woohoo!!

Congrats on getting a new channel that may offer upwards of 3-4 hrs per week of quality motorsport programming and the rest with NASCAR. But I try to keep on top of anything cool to watch and post it here. Keep your eyes peeled.
