Just to let interested buyers know, the car has 188k miles on the body (paint is fair to good), the transmission was replaced about 6 months ago, and has 5k miles on it (it has a 2 yr subaru warranty), and the engine has 88k miles on it (the original motor went when the first tranny went). This new tranny shifts like a dream, and with the cooler and tranny gauge, should last a long long time!

Also, parts replaced in the last 6 months:

Transmission (2 year Subaru warranty)
Tires (Dunlop Sport FM901)
Alternator
Alt. belt
Rotors (drilled/slotted/zinc plated front and rear)
Upper radiator hose

That's a steal...if I didn't already own two WRX's, a Miata, and have an STi on order I'd be all over that one. I'm sure you'll sell it no problem!

I cant offerd it but can you tell me more about them? What are their specs? HP? Engine type? 1/4 mile time? Ive seen a few before and wondered what their deal was.

Sure... 3.3 liter H-6, 230hp stock, 0-60 in about 6.5, 1/4 miles in the low 16's I believe.. They handle pretty well for a 3600lb car! All came from the factory with an auto tranny, there's a few guys that have put 5 speeds in and that alone cuts the 1/4 down to the mid 14's.. Makes me wish I woulda swapped in a 5 spd instead of getting another auto tranny!

Is this AWD or FWD? Just thought the folks might want to know...

AWD, of course :) And it performs perfectly!

All 92 SVX's are AWD, from 94-97 they could be FWD..

Bump.. Just replaced the return power steering line yesterday and expanded my vocabulary! :D

HOw many transmissions did you go through?
If you read your first post it sounds like it is on its 3rd..is this right?
What about your rear bearings?

This is my second replaced tranny. The first blew the front diff, and instead of just replacing the front diff and maybe having problems again sooner than later, I decided to replace the entire transmission. With the aux filter and cooler setup, should last for a long, long time!

Rear bearings are fine.. Never had a problem with them.. Seems some SVX's eat them, others never have a problem. I've been fortunate.. (knocks on wood!) :D

Didn't catch it if you commented on it. Has the car ever been in any accidents? Is there a reason why the sound insulation from inside the hood is missing in action? Has this hood been replaced, and the only reason I ask is I don't see any of the SOA factory EPA/smog info stickers on it? Could just be the old, tired eyes. Are you the original owner?

Nope, no accidents.. Hood insulation was removed because it was deteriorating from car washes and heat.

I'm not the original owner. I bought the car in July of '01.
