So my SVX is about to spend some time in intese rehab for all the abuse it's recieved over the last year. One of the things I can't figure out a way to improve though is the condition of the front lenses. The plastic has turned somewhat milky under exposure to the sun.

I've talked briefly to a friend in japan about it, and he says he's never seen aftermarket housings for the SVX/Alcyone. So no luck there. What I'd really like is to put glass in instead of the plastic.

Anyone deal with this, maby found a magic solvent or cleaner that helps?

I had a set of clear plastic covers for my headlights, they did exactly what they were supposed to do. One sacrificed itself to save my passenger side headlamp from a flying rock.

Who makes the covers - I'd like a set for my SVX? Thanks!
