The sunroof on my '92 is having trouble closing (not fun when I'm trying to merge on the freeway and play with my sunroof at the same time http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif).

Can someone point me to the elusive sunroof clutch nut the SVX FAQ talks about?

I don't have an SVX any more, so I can't doublecheck this, but I think there's a plastic 'button' that it's hidden underneath. Like right behind or in front of the light. I could be completely wrong, but it's what I seem to recall being discussed at some other point.

Linked from the Yahoo club.
URL is http://my.voyager.net/tmclane/

Tightening that nut did nothing for me however. It's kinda strange, the sunroof stalls at the same exact 3 spots. It will close but only if I open it all the way first. I can't see anything blocking the tracks. Any ideas? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/confused.gif

Zensvx,

Let me guess...the first stall point is just slightly open...then half-way back...then all the way back...mine does the same...I think the sunroof has preset stop points so that you can drive and operate your sunroof without having to physically look up...ie...you know that when it stops for the second time it is halfway open. I could be wrong but seems strange that my car does the same...a 1992 LS-L

Yep, it stops when it first opens, then about half way when closing.

Mine still has a problem though. If I open it slightly (little bit past the first stop point) it will not close all the way unless I open it about 1/4 of the way first. I can hear the motor working (unlike at the stop points) so that's why I assumed the clutch nut would fix it. Still no go.

I also have a '92 LS-L.
