anyone got contacted by any dealers that told him the exact date that we can really sit into the car and feel the WRX?

Some training cars are doing the rounds of dealers now. Call your dealer!

The first shipment should be at the dealers 3/13 or so. You might get a chance to sit in one; I doubt and hope you would not be allowed to drive one of the sold cars.

I expect the dealers will need to get one demo car for drives.

But anyway, another couple of weeks and you should be able to sit in one as it goes through to its new owner. (unless they're like me and camped at the dealer)

I don't want any one to sit in my car. That I do not give permision to. The same goes with driving.

My salesman said something about the first week in March...but Im not so sure. I definately donot want anyone driving the WRX I already put money on. I am going to go out there atleast the day before they tel me it will be there to see if they gave themselves a buffer http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

I got to see one up close and personal at the chicago auto show, after that, i was sold!

I had it written into my purchase contract that no one was allowed to drive my car. Forgot about the don't sit in it clause. I also forgot to put the penalty clause in if someone makes fun of the headlights before I take delivery.

I'm actually serious about the first sentence.

Probably not much. Just think of this, some stupid person comes in and asks for a RS cause he wants a 'fast' car. The dealer says well, I have THIS car! Want to take it for a drive? OK, He starts it up and a few seconds later he peels out of the parking lot without warming the engine up! He finally brings it back (and the turbo is glowing) and they turn it off without letting it cool down.

My friend sells used cars and he would tell me of all the times when they were slow they would take the cars out and thrash on the cars!

THAT is why I am going to be at the dealer BEFORE they open up so nobody has the chance to ask for a drive.

Also some dealers are not informed and let people redline in a test drive. So that is one thing I don't want before it is broken in. Also they could crash it on the test drive and then I have to wait longer for my car. Damn I will kill my dealer if he lets any one drive my car.

I'm with you Glenn, I don't want ANYONE driving my car! I don't mind if they sit in it but I would rather them not. They aren't going to get much chance to see it at the dealer though! I told them not to let anyone near my car, not even to display for a while. I told them I want the plastic and all that on when I get there, I want to see them take it off, and don't want them to wash my car, only the inside. I to am taking a couple days off to drive my car around. No I'm not joking.
