That DP looks different than mine...That bracket near the bellmouth is not on mine...I take it this is a version 2 and mine is a V1....That is weird cause I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from a different vendor and it looks different...Invidia is a nice pipe, well worth the money....BUMP

You have the version 2, these are pics from Version 1.
Totally forgot about that. The new DPs do not have the bracket that rubbed(as with the Version 1s)**

That must have been why ebRot's pipe was rubbing. He had the V1. Good to know Invidia corrected the problem.

I told him the part that had to be cut off, since I had the same problem. He's just lazy and never put the saw to it :-\
Good news is..new pipes..no problems. Perfect fit. Woo woo!

How does the full everything here compare to the Vivid Racing "Racer" performance kit (I noticed they both include a turbo back from Invidia).

Is the header and uppipe one piece on these units?

This package will make more power then the Racer package. The Racer package does not include an uppipe,or header, which are huge power gainer/turbo spool items. It really is a matter of opinion. You will make raw power from uppipe/header/turboback.. where as IC hoses/STi scoop are nice, but won't really give you power.

Added Catback pics (Sorry it took so long!)

I (Scott) will be out of town from Friday night until Sunday night/Monday morning, so please be patient about emails :) I'll try and get to a comp in between to anwser emails/PMs but, I promise responses by Monday afternoon!

Bolts up to stock catback.. (Muffler/midsection)
Would remove your cat elim..because the pipe replaces both cats.

Would love to hear some soundclips, Trying to make up my mind......:confused: :confused: :confused:

I can't get soundclips up until the catbacks on my car.. I won't have the catback till we get enough orders for me to put in the whole big order :-\ We have some serious interest in the headers, and one on the catback. If anyone is willing to test any of these things and give us a review (header or catback) i'm willing to give some compensation in return :) Please email me, once again..calling all soundclips.

(On a side note.. a local friend of mine had this catback a few days after it was released..we never did sound clips, and he's currently in Aussieland on a 1month vacation. He'll be home in a little more then 2 weeks, if i don't have anything by then, we'll try and get some clips of his exhaust up for ya :) )

I might be interested in a turbo back plus header as long as it will fit a GC8 with a ver 1 STi motor also interested what the time frame would be after ordering if a week is going to be right.

i have my car in the shop and its just waiting for this to be delivered.

its been 2 whole days with no contact from you. please let me know what is going on with my invidia headers. i am about to cancel the order. i am going to call the CC company tomorrow if i do not get a response. this is very upsetting. we worked out a great deal and the headers were supposed to be shipped 1 week after the turbo back system. it is june 25th. i placed the order on june 12th. received my turbo back june 17. i would say that its been almost two weeks. i left numerous messages on your answering machine and the only reason i havent emailed you is because i thought you would just delete it. so by calling, you would pick up, but i guess not.

sorry, but i am very unsatisfied with your service. i have been left in the dark for about 4 days now. sorry to have to post this up but there seems to be no other way to contact you.

my car has been in the shop for two days waiting for the headers. you have no more chances left unless the headers miraculously arrive at my door. has anybody else had toruble with this issue?

Thats odd, I bought my DP from you guys last week and it has the bracket....guess I should hack it off before I install it

There's still going to be 1 bracket, there shouldn't be a full 2nd one though. Post pics and ill tell ya if you have a v1 or v2 pipe. Should be v2.

Just remember to have a friend pull on the pipe when youre tightening it, this will help you a lot

I have the same pipw with 2 brackets. It rubbed a little on the crossmember and the rear bracket. The bracket was such a PITA to get on the j-hook I just dremelled off 4mm from the cross member without the need to loosen the pipe. No problem after that- no vibration in reverse or over bumps. Great pipe in either version. I actually like having the rear bracket that installs in the factory J-hook.
