I don't even know where to start... The description is priceless, there are simply too many funny quotes to post! Also, be sure to click on the videos provided. They really drive the point home for buying this classic!
Jim
Don't forget, this car WILL be seen in Fast and Furious III...
phillywrx 06-04-2003, 03:17 PM http://www.wanit.com/Web_PICs/TalkingFace.gif
mmm, that was tasty.
jonny_boy 06-04-2003, 03:20 PM Good stuff. I like how the car has a label in case you forget what you're trying to pose as...
Stickee 06-04-2003, 03:51 PM Cool, did you guys see the Profession Quality Pictures?
At least the chrome is shinny.
"Most people bring their car to screeching halt in awe of this fine racing machine so that they can get a better look."
Sounds kind of dangerous to me. I see some nice cars around here and have never done this.
Star*Child 06-04-2003, 04:04 PM I was looking at the pics before I read the description and I kept thinking, damn this looks like an old Z car.
this was the pic that really started me thinking

poor z :(
Unit 91 06-04-2003, 04:07 PM When it comes to performance, the 5 speed manual transmission provides great power with cat like responsiveness.
If your on the highway or zipping around town, this FERRARI 250 GTO has plenty of raw unbridled power so do not be supprised if you see this very car in the FAST N THE FURIOUS III.
Ths is classic.
Chuck H 06-04-2003, 04:14 PM Actually, the dimensions of the early Z cars were so close to the real 250 GTO that the coversion wasn't all that hard. They actually did a nice job on the body, but they should be advertising it as a 260Z with a Ferrari kit rather than as a Ferrari.
I always get a laugh out of people that write and spell like 12 year olds that try to sell stuff like this, though.
:p
Star*Child 06-04-2003, 04:16 PM oh man. did you guys even click on the videos? LOL!!! One of them is a Shell commercial and the other one is from one of those Fox specials. None of them show the actual car.
It has an inline 6 cyc engine...read as stock. Oh...by the way, the 260Z was the crappiest line of Zs made. Only produced between 74 and 76. The first of the fuel injected Zs...also was a hybrid between electronic ignition and points to improve cold weather starting.
funny they did all that work on the body and didn't bother with the interior. I wonder how that engine does hauling around all that bondo?
Unit 91 06-04-2003, 04:16 PM I just saw that people are actually bidding on this. People suck.

He tells you right here...
When you look under the hood you will find an Engine that is ready to go and if the gas peddle is put to the metal this FARRARI 250 GTO turns into a speed-demon and will put on a show that the faint of heart will shy away from.
mr_disco 06-04-2003, 04:25 PM Miles : 23,818 Miles Showing on ODOMETER
Basically he's not telling you the mileage. Either it flipped over at 100,000 so it's now at 23,818, or he adjusted it himself.
sonicblue 06-04-2003, 04:27 PM There is also a center console which is also a nice touch and most people ask does it have a center console and YES it does
Yep, if there's one thing that is a must in my fake Ferrari, it's the center console.....
From bumper to bumper you are viewing a true FERRARI 250 GTO (clone)
There's no doubt about it, this car is 100% real (fake)....
4 matching black wall DUNLOP tires with Yellow raised lettering on them that say "DUNLOP"

scottjua 06-04-2003, 04:38 PM The windows on this car are in great condtion all the way around, execpt for one window that has a small BB hole on the passangers side, other than that the glass around the car is in great condition
MAaaaaaaaahhhhh... Cletus done shot muh 250 GTohhh ageeein...
StriderTB 06-04-2003, 04:40 PM I love the part about the "perfect paint job" and then he mentions the stress cracks you can see from 10 feet off. Almost every description is like that. "Blah blah perfect... except for..." Like the window with the BB hole in it.
:D
"Paint : There is just a super nice racing red paint job on this Ferrari 250 GTO. As you walk around the car you can't help but to be impressed with the sparkle, shine and rich luster to the paint job. You will also notice a number of stress marks or cracks that are not visible from 10 feet away, but are obvious as you get closer"
Star*Child 06-04-2003, 04:46 PM probably from the strain of the exessive bondo contracting as it finished curing when this guy got impatient and painted it too soon
bj1785 06-04-2003, 04:51 PM I actually have one of these. it was left to me by a relative that pased away and has a v8 377 stroker kit conversion w/4 barrel carb. Fun to drive and gets alot of compliments. Although when people ask I always say it is a kit. Kind of tacky to try to pass it off as the real thing.

"It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one of these up."

OLMEK 06-04-2003, 05:15 PM FAKE BID BUDDIES:
Beware of your fellow e-BAY competition.
Generally they e-mail you stating that, they saw the car that you are bidding on and that the car is JUNK or something to that effect.
Once you retract your bid, stop bidding or ask to pay far less, they use a different e-mail address and e-BAY ID and out bid you in the end.
Their goal is to buy the car as cheap as possible even if that means blowing you off the car by any means Necessary.
Don’t fall for their tricks.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Thank them for their time
The same way that they secretly contacted you, secretly contact the seller, so that eBAY can be the judge.
Ask them for their FULL NAME & ADDRESS, see how far you get with that.
Ask them for their e-BAY user ID and Phone number.
If they are telling the truth they will give you the information that you asked for.
Do a search on them, e-mail people that they have bought or sold things to, if they never bought or sold anything - hummm ...
:lol::lol: This guy writes and has dry humor like Eric M. !

p3Ch4 06-05-2003, 02:19 AM I like the banner that says "We are here to work with you, but: No STORIES, No EXCETIONS." Not sure about that Excetions part...
sybir 06-05-2003, 02:29 AM Quarter Panels : The quarters are solid as far as I can tell and if there is any body work, it is not obvious by looking at the car for the out side
Yeah, except for the Ferrari kit molded onto the 260Z!

Attila_Tha_Hun 06-05-2003, 02:40 AM Undercarriage : The undercarriage could be a lot cleaner, the prior owner could have painted the undercarriage just prior to selling the car in order to hide aging and other imperfections, but the good news is that was not done and if you look under the car you will find some oxidation, however, all in all this is one very impressive Ferrari 250 GTO that can not be denied

Of course! It's always good news to have oxidation on the undercarriage!
Star*Child 06-05-2003, 02:47 AM hrmmm...oxidation...

"Gives it that antiqued look! Everyone knows antiques are valuable! People will love your car, and throw money at it! Money is good too! Add that to the "Ferrari" logo that says "Ferrari" on it, which is not actually on the car, and you've got a car that will increase national GDP and make the roads shine with BEAUTY, beauty only a 100% original FERRARI 250 GTO (clone) can......
StriderTB 06-05-2003, 08:38 AM Hey! Do not speak ill of the (clone). After all, this is one very impressive Ferrari 250 GTO that can not be denied
It can't be denied!
