I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the pre-made 9007 headlight wiring harness upgrades to get more light out of their bulbs. Like this one. (http://shop.store.yahoo.com/racinglab/heavdutwirha3.html) . I have new PIAA extreme white bulbs in my headlights and they are still not very bright, especially when compared to the fogs that also have PIAA bulbs in them.

any thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Not much description. Does it have direct power/ground connections? Does it have relays?

Maybe you can consider a harness from here (http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlightscom/html/wire-harness.htm)

For the WRX you need to order the one that has four relays.

I have ordered it and is sitting at home right now.

Please let me know how this works out for you. I want to try every avenue before plunking down even more money on an HID system, which I hope I wont need.

thanks

I think the one you linked to is just for a wire and connector, intended for those who want to go over-wattage and prevent connector melting. By itself, it shouldn't give you much of an improvement in light output.

The one tnmn28 referred to is a wire harness, connector, and relay system which should improve the voltage to your bulbs.

Why 4 relays? It seams like a real over kill. I also have the kit from SUVlights.com and its two separate harnesses, one from each side. You should be able do this kit with only 2 relays, one for high beam and one for low beam. With on relay for each light, you would be able to run a 300w light (25amps) going through it. A stock low beam only draws about 4.5 amps, so you would be fine with just a two relay system.
