Ok a rock and my figlight met and of course I am left with a hole in the light. What is the best method to fix this? I plan on getting the stoneguard covers for them, but wanted to know if I should fill the hole first. Any help would be great.

Just replace it -- see if you can find one from a junkyard to save money.

you may get a replacement fog light first. I saw a fog light is biding opn ebay for just $10. I'll try to get the link for you.

After that, you should get a replica sti mesh grill fog light cover for just around $ 50 on ebay or any wrx vendor. Uses of mesh grill fog light cover can let you use the fog light when the cover is present.

Another option if you want to minimize the total cost...

Depending on the location and size of the hole, it may be possible to just get a 1/2 or 1/4 inch acrylic disc, and bolt them onto the side areas of the cracked lens. (you'd have to separate the lens from the housing first, but you'd probably need to do that anyway if you want to salvage the foglight, in order to clean them first). Seal the acrylic disc that is now bolted to the front of the lens with some caulking.

You may or may not need the 3M lens protection on top of the thick acrylic.

A 1/2 inch acrylic disc enough for a single fog light should cost you no more than US$12 or so (I recently bought a 12" x 12" 1/2 inch acrylic plate for about US$14 locally).

Done properly, it may even look good.

Getting a replacement fog light would be the best option, but imho, you'd be extremely lucky if you can get a good deal. Some deals in eBay start very low, but not in the end.

buy mesh foglight covers, not only for looks but they will save your fogs. I was following my friend really close last month on a windy road with alot of loose gravel. When we were done and pulled over i saw my foglight had cracked and a bunch of little chips on the front bumper. Damn rocks!!!
