what is the stuff called that u put between the tail light and the metal work to water seal it? i need to replace mine

i'd say it's a silicone of some sort. never resealed any lights though, so i wouldn't really know.

just try some caulk (sp?)

re-reading your post, and now understanding that you were asking and not quizzing, i'm fairly sure you're looking for some black silicone sealant. go to an auto shop and they should have what you're looking for.

someone has also suggested caulking tape. Basically the same thing but in tape form; easier to work with.
