Here's the pictures of my tranny cooler and fan installed on my '92. The kit is a perma cool #12511. It was easy, and it keeps it all real cool in traffic.

What kind of temps does it keep the tranny at when going uphill, stop-n-go, hard driving, etc....?

I too put in a cooler and bypassed the stock one, but the thing still gets too hot when going up the many steep hills in town here.

Thanks.

It stays around 170-180 when I'm driving hard at lower speeds (less than 50mph)- lots of shifting, torque converter unlocked. Sometimes (rarely)it will get up to 200 when I am really hammering on it repeatedly- racing light to light without a long break, but it quickly cools down to around 160 once I back off - even at a dead stop (traffic lights) -that is the best part.
High speed acceleration runs are no problem, the temperature hardly climbs. The ambient temperature around here is about 90 degrees now.
On the highway it stays right at 150.
