OK, so it may not be useless to some, but here it goes!
1) The WRX Sedan will hold 12 cubic feet of cypress mulch. Any more, and the trunk lid hinges interference. Yes, I know- if I wanted to haul more, then I should have bought the wagon. Naa- I'll just borrow my bud's 4Runner - it'll hold 30 bags of mulch! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
2) According to my GPS receiver, the speedometer in the WRX is *very* accurate! It reads every so slightly fast with the OEM 16" RE92's. Most cars I've "tested" read fast - all of my previous VW's were 2-3% fast!
See, I told you this was useless info!

Assuming that your GPS receiver is 100% accurate? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif

LOL! It used to be the GPS has an inaccuracy of 100 ft on the ground (I don't know how much that translates into speed accuracy) and now (starting last year) we can get up to 30 ft. In anyway, GPS is not an accurate way to check speedometer.
Sorry to disabuse you of your erroneous notion that GPS is not an accurate way to determine speed, but actually it is VERY accurate. Speed is calculated by using actual change in position data AND doppler shift and should be accurate to well under 1% of the indicated speed for any modern 12 channel unit. Garmin states that speed displayed is accurate to .1 mph and other sites confirm that speed is measured to well under 1 mph accuracy. As do others.

So using GPS for speed measurements is a perfectly good way to get data - in fact with the MAXSPEED capture capability of the Garmin I use, one does not need to fixate on the speedometer when trying out high speed runs, which is another plus. And the Vbox mentioned above is the ultimate performance data logging system and is based on a GPS receiver.

I used my GPS to check my spedo also. 2002 WRX with new RE92 tires. The spedo reads 65 when the GPS says 64.. Legally it cannot read less than your traveling, for ticketing purposes.

GPS is very accurate for speed measurement if you are going in a flat, straight line.

The trunk may hold 12 cubic feet of mulch but I can't even get one wakeboard in there. I guess it'll be riding in the back seathttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

My GPS is a Garmin 12 - I've run it in a number of cars, and even a few planes (oops - found out you're not supposed to do that!) - it's pretty darn accurate!
As for the number of bodies you can stuff into a WRX's trunk... I'll leave that question to the professionals! Ha!

GPS is now more accurate because the US is not degrading the GPS signal, this GPS link (http://www.geod.emr.ca/new/html-public/GSDinfo/English/gsd_sa.htm)
I use my garmin 12xl to pace out autoX courses, measure distances on mountain bike rides (can't get more twisty than that!http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif). It's all good.
If you have an older GPS unit you may want to buy a new one. The early GPS units had the builtin SA error and can't benifet from the upgraded signal.
