Yep, still expensive.

PunksRS 02-13-2001, 04:19 PM Glenn,
It looks like the page that your link refers to has been changed. Maybe they made a mistake and the wheels are not available at that price. Do you know exactly where the wheels are located on their website?
thanks
Punk
ANZAC_1915 02-13-2001, 04:23 PM I fixed the link. Obviously you would need to order 4 of them. These are the silver ones with BBS centers as seen in pictures.
No word on gold ones yet, I left Scott a msg but I will call him back.
You will notice I am collecting a lot of part numbers. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

illmatic 02-13-2001, 04:28 PM My dealer is offering the 17" BBS to me for $2265.00.
Keith 02-13-2001, 05:01 PM thats still alot o cash. Unless these rims weigh like 2 lbs, I dont think its worth it.
why cant things be freehttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

herky 02-13-2001, 05:06 PM The guys onScooby Net U.K seem to like the Oz superlegera's, they are cheaper and lighter than the P1's those BBS are still too high at even 2200 clams.
rsr911 02-13-2001, 05:46 PM Glenn,
I e-mailed Graham Goode in England.
He has the 17" disc wheels from the euro WRX
$220. US each plus about $225 shipping.
Roughly $1100 US fo ra set of Euro 17".
I am realy tempted.

RidinLow 02-13-2001, 06:20 PM How heavy are the euro wheels?
WRXRob 02-13-2001, 06:29 PM Herky,
Those OZ's are cast, meaning that they won't be as strong as the BBS's which are forged. The different manufacturing process is the reason that the BBS's are so expensive (besides the fact that they are BBS's so they can charge a lot. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif)
Chuck Annicelli 02-13-2001, 09:28 PM rsr911 any pics of those wheels?
Chuck
WRXRob 02-14-2001, 12:37 AM Glenn, can they get the gold BBS's from Japan? I'd definitely be interested in those, with their 22B-esque styling.
Mmmm, 22B. . .
Leszek 02-14-2001, 12:53 AM Glenn,
Would it be possible for you to also fix the link on new-impreza.com?
thank you,
Leszek
ANZAC_1915 02-14-2001, 08:13 AM Brain fart! I fixed the part number in the text but not the link.
Now fixed, thanks.
Interestingly I just noticed that the part number was too short (as from the Subaru list, but perhaps I mistyped it) and added the 1 and voila.

harrydog 02-27-2001, 05:12 PM I wonder if the BBS wheels offered as an option on the WRX are available anywhere else besides Subaru dealers. Even though they are forged, they should be available for less than $3000 or even $2400. I've seen forged 3-piece BBS wheels for around $2250 and 3-piece wheels are always more expensive than 1-piece. Seems odd.
I know whats up with that WACK price, i could by BBS RS2 or RC Ultarlites for less than that with cheap tires on them.
I seriously thought they were pulling our chan, or that it was a typo.
I would get the TE-37 MAGNESIUM's if thats the case.
Im not really into the split 5 spoke japanese/euro/aus wheel that they have, its nice color, and size but style is no good.

illmatic 02-27-2001, 05:35 PM My dealer is offering them to me for 2265.00, but it is still kind of high.
Kostamojen 02-27-2001, 11:42 PM Tell the dealer "Ill pay MSRP for the car if it shows up with the BBS wheels on it... If not, then Ill pay 1% over invoice" or something to that tune...
Or, if theyre on a demo car, and the demo car is for sale, haggle the hell out of the car and you might get the wheels for cheap. Ive seen cars at dealers with custom wheels go for under MSRP without the markup for the wheels.
Racer-X-79 02-28-2001, 03:07 AM I would get the OZ or P1's very nice.
The BuddyClubs and Mines also have nice wheels that would fit the WRX.
