I e-mailed my local subar dealer and I got this response about the turbo :D

Hi. Yes, there will be black and expect it in August, pricing in July.

Joe Spitz,

Here is the mail I sent him:

Hello Joe,

I am sure that you get this all of the time now that Subaru has announced that they are going to be selling a Baja turbo for 2004. I was wondering if you know when SOA will be announcing pricing and/or when they are going to announce the options and colors. I really hope that they keep the monotone black that they had at the NY Auto show.

Its not actually monotone. Its black with dark charcoal boady cladding. There is however a dark blue true monotone scheme in the works (maybe). ;)

Subaru of Gwinnett has one of the "Mystic Blue Pearl" monotone Baja Sports on their lot right now. The sales person says it's a very deep dark blue and looks great. No pix of it on their site or SOA's so I'll have to go take a look this weekend.

Please take a camera and get some snapshots. I would love to see what it looks like.

Bnut, I went to Subaru of Gwinnett this morning and took pictures of the 2003 Mystic Blue Pearl Baja as promised. The color looks great to me. It's about two shades darker than my Blue Ridge Pearl Forester. IMO it makes the cladding disappear even more than the silver does. It's so dark that from some angles it looks black. The saleperson there said that they had no information on the color except that it might be to test reaction to the 2004 colors which may all be monotones. I don't have a website to host my pictures but I will be glad to email them to you or anyone that does.

When I went to order my Baja, the salesman said he's never seen a blue one, and it's not in their catalog, but he did see it on his computer. He assumed it was a computer mistake, so I went with the all silver. Had I known it was possible to get a monotone blue, I would have been all over that. My last car was all silver, and I'm kinda getting sick of it, but didn't really like the two-tone look.

i just bought a blue one yesterday. it was the only one within 200 miles of here(Calif). it looks great. i really different look from the silver cladding. its a really dark metalic blue, with exact same color cladding.
