How come no one else is jumping on this? I think this is a hot deal. I saw on another forum having a sale of cf hood with a stock height hood scoop for $650 (not sure of their quality compared to OE's)

OE Tuning, Is there any way I could get this in 2 or 3 weeks? I don't care for the $25 saving for 16+ buyers. I maybe able to pick it up myself if it will fit inside my wrx wagon with at least a plastic covering.

Couple of questions...

Are there places for the windshield washer nozzles to go? Does cold weather affect the carbon fiber? I live in New England, and it gets pretty damn cold and snows alot. Does it scratch easily? Does it wash and wax normally?

I am very interested and want to be the 4th buyer (upgrade to SPN 6K Hs Cf.) Please post the first 5 buyers, so I know if I should buy.

The hood been holding up pretty good and there is a hole for the windshield nozzle. As far as the coold weather good, i'm not too sure how well it will hold up, but i think you shouldn't have any problem, because i go snowboarding a lot, it would snow there, and the hood didn't have any problem. The hood doesn't scratch that easily, it held up pretty well over the pass year. You can take car of the hood like a regular hood, washing and waxing is the same.

Forgot to ask. Does this comes with a fire protection liner under the hood or watchamacallit with accompanying plastic pins? I think this also serves as a sound dampening.

I am planning to sell my stock hood and this buyer wants everything including that liner under the hood.

Everybody in the groupbuy got their lips in mid July, but I received my lip on Aug 6, and the paint job was horrible, even after supposedly it was repainted because customers complained about the paint quality. I have been dealing with OE Tuning since then trying to resolve this matter. Jerry promised me a new lip 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. OE Tuning hasn't responded to my e-mails or messages I left on their answering machine (since they don't answer their phones). I just thought you might want to know what to expect if you go on a business venture with OE Tuning. You've been warned.

Please check your email. We admit since the whole relocating situation, we are not as attentive to the phone calls as much as we like to. However, we are in the process of getting this resolved and have paid all the extra fees incurred in shipping ( at no additional charge to you ) any other company would have easily charged you for these expenses as there were really no damaged to your product, but since we take care of our customers we will make sure you will be satisfied with O.E. Tuning's product and services.

Your situation was difficult since there were no damages to your product, only minor paint imperfections that you were not pleased about. These imperfections were on the far underside and inner fenders where it can't be seen when the lip is installed, but since you have stated that this is not acceptable to you we will replace it at no additional cost.

However since we are right in the middle of helping you get this resolved is it fair that you leave give us a bad name here on NASIOC after all the extra expenses we incurred for rushing you another lip and not charging you one extra cent ?

Why dont you have a answering machine, that atleast says you name on it. Not very professional. The least you could do is repey to emails. You wonder why people get so upset about this kind of thing. Well I tried calling again still no one picks up. Has anyone ever been to this address I have a feeling this is definetley not a full time job for these people. If anyone else on this group buy has received their hood or tracking info that is legit please let me know. If I dont get a response back from them after 3 phone messages and 2or 3 emails. I will be calling my visa car and having a chargeback done .I was really hoping this would be a good expereince. I guess I was wrong.I work in the automotive aftermarket hi-performance,truck stuff , etc and this is by far the worst vendor I have came in contact with.:furious: Sorry for rambling hope this works out for any of us!!!!

Ive got my tracking number and it tracks for me but not status update as of yet on it. The description says Carbon Fiber hood.. so Im not real worried. Some ppl are just slow with stuff.. I wouldnt worry too much about it.. even though it is $650 on the line. It took them awhile to return my emails as well.

BAH!!! Stupid Airborne Express.. was supposed to be picked up on Tuesday.. and didnt get picked up till Friday.. BAH.. now it wont be here till next friday. :mad: It was supposed to be here Tuesday!!!!

Well finally got my tracking # . Talked to airborne on friday hood supposed to be deilvered on monday. We will see ,dont have much faith on this whole ordeal anymore. All I can say is that the quality of this hood better be worth all of the hassle! Or it is going back!!!!!!!!:furious:

Hey me again imagine that called airborne this morning. same thing happened to mine . Oe tuning di not give packages to airborne until 09-05-03. This is totally un professional of Oe tuning they have been jerking me around to long. They will not answer their phone. Isnt funny how they answered when I ordered the damm hood. I would not recomend to anybody to do business with this vendor. I just hope the quality of the hood does not reflect their horriable cust. service and poor bussiness practices. I was really hoping this would be a good compant I was mistaken. I just wish I would have never gotton envolved. Is their anybody else besides me and Subie2 on this group buy that has any info. I also hope the moderators look at this and dont allow this vendor to offer anything on this site.:furious: :mad: :furious:

Hey there guys sorry to hear what happen. I talked to the guy at OE Tuning and he apologize for all of the delay, he told me that they have been really busy with the moving of their warehouse, so if you really need to contact them, please try to just email them, and if they don't get right back to you that day, it is just they are a bit busy. I know how you guys feel that you already paid for your product but yet don't see anything. Just to let you guys know trust me the product will be worth the wait. Believe it or not but they are trying to do the best they can, because they are dealing with other products as well, but I know that is no excuse because you guys already paid in full for you product. If you guys need to get a hold of him, you can pm or email me and i will try my best to pass on the world. Another reason that they haven't post anything is that he is having some problem with site and he is not able to post anything, so he asked me to just keep all of you guys updated right now. JUst talked to airborne again and know there is an exception on my hood. Now they are saying they shouldnt be taking a package this big. So this tells me that oe tunning tried to cut cost on shipping I paid $150 to have this shipped I would have expected a better company that is better suited to handle large packages like this. So know they are saying it might be here tomorrow the 12th but cant tell me for sure. If I dont have the hood tomorrow in 1 quality peice. I will cancel my order call my cc card and refuse any further shipments. I have been trying to resvolve this but know one will call me or email me back. I have emailed oe tuning again no repley I have tried calling ,no answer and I have left messages with my cell phone and home phone. My delivery date has changed from sept 8 to 11 to 12 maybe. It has become very ridculous.Airborne also mentioned my exception could mean that they had to repackage my hood from damage. That would just be great!:furious: Tell me if anyone thinks I am being out of line.Impreza2fast if you would like to help please just tell them to call me!Yesterday they emailed but all the said was that your lip has been shipped with the same tracking info. I find it interesting that my hood is in Ohio when it is supposed to be here tomm in Texas.

You should try calling 1-800-airborne ans see if they give you the same b.s about having know idea when it might show. Also they said a package of this size they do not gurantee any kind of date.Let me know thanks Zman!

Talked to airborne again today finally said hood was going to be here. Well the hood showed up and was damaged just like i figured. They blamed it on very poor packaging and not enough foam around the corners.Corner was busted off. I refused the hood and have called my credit card company to cancel. I wish this would have worked out. But I have tried calling no answer, tried leaving messages with my phone#'s no reponse. And have emailed numerous times. So they have left me no choice but to cancel and I will be Refunded from my credit card company!And totally bs excuses by other people saying there computer hasn't been working and they have been moving is all bs. If it is not what is there old address,what is there new address what about phones do they not work either?This is a case of a wanna be bussines. If you are legit you would have a phone recording that at least said you company name and not the generic message the comes on the machine.DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS VENDOR. MODERATORS HOPE YOU ARE HEARING THIS!!!!

I guess I gotta wait till monday to get my "possible broken" hood. What a shame.. I was looking so forward to getting it today too. I called Airborne today too.. but couldnt wait on the phone long enough to get an actual person.

It is unfortunates to hear what happen to you guys. I talked to OE Tuning and they truly apologize for all of the delay. They will do their best to compensate everyone, as far as the shipping goes, they are truly sorry for what happen and they will make sure that Airborne will take care or pay for all of the damages. Once again if you guys have any question or comments, just email them and they will make sure to get back to you guys as soon as possible and keep in mind that they will get back to you no later than 2 days. They also so that they will do whatever they can to satisfy their customer so just keep in mind they try to do whatever it take to make it up to you guys.

We have responded every single email that you have emailed us. Concerning your hood, again we have no controal if our carrier incurrs any delays in shipment. If you have a problem with their customer service please do not relate this with O.E. Tuning.

First of all you have not ever responded to all of my emails or others on this board that I have talked to. And exactly how would I contact your business still no phone # or business address have you listed .You guys are a scam that is all thereis to it. I am really sure you will be renewing you vendor status in december:rolleyes: I highly doubt this. All I have asked for is for you to pick up the phone and call me. But you cant even do that.If you want to compensate me than refund my card asap in full.My credit card is already investageting your business.And I will get my money refunded one way are another.As for problems with your shipper, they are a direct reflection of you. You hired them to provide a service, to deliver a undamaged product in a timley fashion. Which they could not do either. So I ask one more time call me if you have a phone and I will discuss further. As for anyone else who purchased from this vendor, I fell very sorry for you and good luck!!!!

Did any of you receive an undamaged hood from these guys? Any additional input on this company would be appreciated. Did they finally take care of you guys?

I'm going to purchase a hood, and would like theirs, but not if it's a scam.
