I am going to get a zex wet kit to install inmy 02 wrx.

So i have a couple of questions. Some of the questions may be stupid to some but I figure this would be a good Q&a eventually for all other n2o newbies who want ti give it a try.

This is what all I am getting with my kit
Botttle warmer
blow down tube

Is a purge kit worth getting?
ok and the purge kit cleans the lines of old n2o and it sprays it into the air correct? so when i see cars that at the track that have a gas shooting from them, that must be a purge kit?

Ok now gettin into the install questions.

you guys who have installed n20 before let me know what i need to do. any helpfull tips ?

Let me know everyting i need to know about installing the kit. I am sure my friend knows what he is doing but I am curious and want to know so i can be of more help.

Purge kits have two uses. One, In a bracket race its nice to purge the line. Two, it wastes nitrous at an alarming rate. Something like .5 lbs for a few bursts. I do not use one.

You plea for informaton can be satisfied by searching the forums. I have posted install instructions with pictures as have others...

Here is a link to the pics:

I originally had the solenoids mounted to the underside of the IC. Later I moved them under the IC mounted to the transmission.

The purge is a good thing! Its not to waste nitrous. It bleeds any air from the lines after you replace the bottle. If air is in the lines and you hit the nitrous, you get an initial shot of fuel/air. It will make your setup run rich momentarily. Just install your bottle and hit the purge for a sec. until you see the white gas shooting out. Then your good. AZS is right though. Don't overuse it. Complete waste of nitrous.
