wpxt6,I seem to remember this topic coming up on the Yahoo board awile back.From what I remember the 4wd struts are not interchangeable with the 2wd ones. This info came from a former subaru tech.

this is a faq on alt.autos.subaru - it can be done with conventional shocks but I don't remember the details. I'm sure a search or a new post on that newsgroup would get you the info you need. good luck

I have an XT6, '89 AWD. The air suspension is giving me problems. The front is high and the back is way down. Everytime I fix it, $800 +. Can I change it to conventional struts? Can I replace it with a 2WD conventional struts?
