do u have a parts motor for a ver.8 twinscroll? i'm looking for the equal-length header and uppipe for a vf37 setup, as well as the downpipe and oil pan...

These guys are awesome I bought my Version IV RA and no problems....The Version IV is actually the better engine because it's a totally closed deck cooling configuration that means more boost allowed....Version 5 and 6 partially closed....all in all... all versions beat a stock 2.5rs they Rock...Nothing like a turbo....Ron

hey i was wondering how much it would be for a STI VERSION 4 RA tranny, diff controller, and any other parts to match up to a RS.

I know i'd need a rear diff that matches the final on the tranny.. But do i need a different type of clutch because of rs/wrx difference? (push type/pull type)???

not to butt in, but rbehny you would need a new clutch and flywheel as well as the random clutch mechanisms since its a different type (a la WRX style). I called them yesterday for the same exact setup as you are asking, looks pretty promising.

They sell a whole rear diff housing already made to retrofit the car to match the tranny, they seem to have everything in order.

Sorry for the delay in the response guys ....

First of all, RA tranny and diff controllers etc, I only have a 4 and 6, but they are with the motors as well, not willing to part out just the trannies at this time... sorry.

Second, NO STI OVER version 3 are closed deck. 75% of the version 3 we have opened have been semi-closed, the others have been closed .... wierd, but can not say exactly what engine numbers are closed deck ....

Version 4 RA -everything included
12,950$ CAD (turbo, trans, controllers, waterspray, diff)

Version 6 RA -everything included
13,750$ CAD (same as above)

how much is that PDE up-pipe in $US??

You would have to contact ISR performance in the west, and Teques Auto in the EAST for all PDE products. I am only selling in Canada PDE products.

I beleive it is about 300$ or so.... not sure.

We have a version 4 RA GRAVEL SPEC front clip with all the fixings on it including:
- STI 4 POT brakes with new pads

I need an STI trans sans motor.

I know you don't want to part out what you've got, but if you stumble across just a trans (and the ancilliary parts required to swap it onto a USDM WRX), let me know.

I'm only looking for a regular WRX engine ready to be swapped into a RS. All I ever see is JDM STi sales. More power to the man with the money and ego to buy the more powerful engine. That's just not me, and I'm sure I'm not alone. So if you have any WRX engines...tell the board or PM me please. It's hard to find a good source. And from what I hear you are a good one.

Good news guys, how does a discount sound !!! I do not think we have ever taken this much off of a kit before.

The version 4RA we removed it from the shell, but all parts are still there. Aluminum front lateral link, 4 pot calipers, R180 rear with hubs (need calipers, we have new ones at additional price)

The whole kit 12900$ CAD !!!! That is 1600$ off.... pretty good rebate if you ask me ...

I will start tracking down some WRX engine both JDM and USDM to help the masses. Thanks for the suggestion. We have one WRX that will be for sale in a month or so, most likely, it is a race preped engine from our Rally Car. Keep checking it out.

how much labor would someone be looking at for the swap (say from a '00 2.5RS)

(general figures are okay, if you have the time and if there is a noticable difference the difference b/t a wrx and sti swap would be great)

would be a looong road trip to go have you guys do it though...but info would be great! :)

Mark, do you have any EJ20G RA heads lying around? It's for a Ver1 STi but wouldn't any pre96 RA heads work? I also sent you an e-mail about getting some harnesses spliced together.

What is the cost of a GEMS ecu ? I may want to buy one once I better understand its capabilities. I need an ecu that will control avcs which I know the GEMS unit does. It would be very helpful and maybe profitable if you guys would consider posting some tech info about your GEMS units in our Engine Management forum. This will stimulate better questions than I can ask. I know you guys are busy, but we all are...;)
