I would be interested! Will the gray paint match perfectly? Does the $125 include the painted insert? Count me in if both of the answers are yes. Besides, it is nice to support a local business! Also, what will be the color choices for the insert?

Toby Broadfield

p.s. I will email you a pre-order notification after I receive verification of my two questions.

As I was told, the paint of the gauge pod wil match perfectly to the dashboard color. I should be receiving a unit by the end of this week so Ill install it into my WRX and take pictures. As for the inserts I have been told they are available at an extra cost. The price has not yet been determined, as well as the colors. But I have been told that one color will be Carbon Fiber.

I received the gauge pod yesterday and it looks amazing. It is made out of injection molded ABS plastic, and the color does match the dashboard nicely. Also included are nicely detailed instructions on how to mount the gauges and install the pod into the clock location. I will try to take some pictures today to show off the pod.

Questions:

1) What size are the Defi gauge in the prototype picture?

2) I have three 52mm Greddy gauge.. I am worry there will be big gap around it.. some picture of the gauge pod with the 52mm faceplate will be great

3) correct me if I am wrong.. $125 is already included the 52mm faceplate, right?

4) how much extra will you charge to ship to Toronto, Canada? By USPS.

Very interested.

Hope everything had a fun filled and safe 4th of July.

For robroy72, jjunior887 and others who might be interested here are a few pictures of the gauge pod installed in a WRX. As you can see, it matches the dashboard color.

Questions:

1) What size are the Defi gauge in the prototype picture?

The gauges in the prototype picture are 60 mm.

2) I have three 52mm Greddy gauge.. I am worry there will be big gap around it.. some picture of the gauge pod with the 52mm faceplate will be great.

The gauge pod comes ready for 52 mm gauges. But if you would like to install 60 mm gauges, there are 3 serrated rings that you break off using needle nose pliers to resize the slot size to 60 mm.

3) correct me if I am wrong.. $125 is already included the 52mm faceplate, right?

The faceplate is not included in the $125 because SPI considers this an accessory to the gauge pod. I will try to work something out to offer the faceplates to those who buy the gauge pod at a lower price. At this time we don’t know what colors they will make for the faceplate.

4) how much extra will you charge to ship to Toronto, Canada? By USPS.

Only $5 dollars extra.

Just got off the phone with SPI, the maker and supplier of these gauge pods and found out the following:

The only face plate that will be available will be carbon fiber.

Also for a limited time, for $125 you will receive the gauge pod, faceplate and free shipping. After the promotion ends, the faceplates will be $9.99. So get yours while they are still free :)

Is it real carbon fiber? I am assuming fake with a price tag of $9.99.

It will be couple days before our site goes up and running. We are just testing out all bugs on the site and making sure it is 100% secure :) . As for payments we will be accepting paypal, visa, mastercard, money order or cashiers check. Right now the carbon fiber faceplates are not ready, but will be by the end of July. So if you wanna hold off till than, so you can get everything at once.

For $125 you get the following: 52/60mm gauge pod that is painted to match your interior color, carbon fiber faceplate, and shipping to your door.

Thanks,
Luke

Any pics with the carbon fiber faceplate? If I decide to go with 60mm gauges is there any faceplate cutting I need to do? I'm one of those guys who will order the gauges right after the pod because I cant wait :)

Strictly Driven
07-15-2003, 11:15 AM
Allanak, I am sorry but we dont have any pictures of the carbon fiber faceplates as we are waiting on the manufacturer to finish production on them. As for cutting the faceplates, there is no need to do that. The faceplates fit in perfectly if you decide to go with either 52 or 60 mm gauges.

Luke, I will take one of the pods with the face plates when they come in. Can you do me a favor and quote me a price for the gauge pod, a 52mm Black Greddy EGT, and oil pressure gauges?? I already have the boost gauge. If the price is as good as it is on the pod then I'll be sending you my order. I will take the gauge pod either way though. By the way, your prices on the gauges will have to be lower then what gruppe-s is getting for them.
Thanks and let me know asap, I'm waiting for the gauges to install my uppipe:)

Anyone else interested in jumping on the bandwagon?

Once the faceplates are ready, I will close this thread and open a new one in Vendor "For Sale" Classifieds, and will begin taking orders.

$125 for the 52/60 mm gauge pod, free faceplate with every order and free shipping. This will only last for a limited time.

Sincerely,
Luke

P.S. Faceplates should be arriving 2nd week of August according to our supplier.

I recieved the guage and installed the boost guage already. The gauge is a excellent piece. Color matches up pretty good. It is quite shiny though. It has the ATI logo on the back side of it.

I will post some pics when I got all three guages installed.
