just wanted to know what everyones setup is and how you guys like it....:D

NC2.5RS

Im running:

STi Version 5 struts
Cusco pillowball adjustable camber plates
5-Zigen springs

And this is what it looks like:
http://www.pbase.com/image/18596960/large.jpg

I love it, sometimes it seems a bit too stiff, but I live with it. Its not as bouncy and stiff as it could be though, the Cusco plates really help out with that.

Im running:
Stock Struts (about to die)
5Zigen Springs
Cusco 21mm rear sway bar
18" P1's

It kinda bouncy, but I think that is cuz I need new struts.

NC2.5 Where did you get the V5 struts and how much?

Current Setup:
Prodrive WR Sport package: Bilstein struts/Eibach springs
STi Group N strut tops
stock front swaybar with Whiteline endlinks
20mm FHI rear swaybar with Kartboy endlinks
17x7" UK wheels with Yokohama ES100's
generic front strut tower bar
Syms rear strut tower bar

On the highway it is incredible... you feel every bump/undulation in the road, and the car is well behaved. I also drive a lot in downtown Boston. Down there, the roads are a bit rough and the ride can be a bit harsh... the car never feels out of control there either though.

This winter I will be going back to my Legacy GT wheels with RE-92's(or maybe nice snow tires if I can afford it). I kinda fear that the car will be a handful with the higher sidewalls of the stock size tires. I got the car in January with the GT rims/tires and V5 struts/RS springs and stock strut tops. It was a bit bouncy for my taste with this setup, so it should be interesting.

Prodrive P1 springs
Stock struts
Cusco F/R strut bars
18mm FHI RSB

It rides well and improved handling. It probably wouldn't hold up to a car w/ struts and springs but it probably rides a lot better. I think it rides better than stock actually.

Stock struts
V6 springs
FHI 18mm rear swaybar
STi front carbon fiber strut tower
STi rear strut tower bar

Feels pretty nice, need struts though to complete it so to speak. Ride Height is a littler lower, not too bad at all.
:)

Where did you find this one? I've been looking to get one for a long time, but I never wanted to deal with it being a special order.

Setup on my L:
KYB AGX's w/ Ground Control Coilovers (rear camber bolts too)
WRX 20mm rear swaybar with Kartboy endlinks
Generic front and rear Strut bars
Whiteline Eurathane front swaybar bushings
Whiteline Steering Rack bushings
Cusco rear X-member brace (does nothing, but it was cheap)
STI front control arm bushings (from the 02-03 WRX aftermarket kit)
Rota Subzero wheels w/ Khumo MX tires (225/50/16)

Its nice and stiff, too stiff for most people but I own everyone in the corners :D

Got it used from a local guy, he used to rally quite a lot so he settled for nothing but the best. Got it for 200 Cad which is like oo say 150 usd. That is a damn good price considering they are about 200 usd plus brand new.

kyg/agx with eibach pro-kit springs. 17mm rear sway bar.

this suspension suits me very well. I don't auto-x or go to track days (yet), but when and if I decide to, it's nice to have the adjustability.

settings of 1f, 3r seem like stock... i usually set it to that, or go up a notch stiffer at 2f, 4r.

I am riding on Leda 2.5s
I love them
Since I live in MT its nice to have the ability to adjust the dampeners as well as the ride height...the ride is hard when I want it to perform, and nice and smooth when I want it to be...

STi V5 Struts
STi RA Springs
STi GrpN Strut Mounts

STi Alum. A arms
STi 6pc. Lateral Links
STi Traling arms
FHI 20mm sway bar

I have had all this on for two weeks now and I LOVE IT!!!!!

JIC FLT-A2 coilovers. 5kg (front), 7kg(rear)
Cusco rear adj. sway bar (stiffest setting)
Cusco f&r strut bars

It is definitely a firm ride, but not bad. probably i will order the JIC helper springs to make the ride a little less bumpy. but at auto-x's, it is a performer. it rotates very well, even on concrete. it drives the way i like it...little to no understeer.

I have KYB AGX struts mated with a Ground Control 8" coilover kit that contains 340lb./in springs with the STi Group N top hats. In the summer I run 16" 1999 Legacy GT rims with Kumho Ectasa 711 205/50/16 (tires soon to be changed) and in the winter Hakkapellita 185/75/14 (to be changed to Blizzak 205/55/16 next winter). The ride is just plain harsh on the stiffest of settings in the winter but during the summer its not soft by anymeans but is a little smoother. I love the way my car handles and later this winter I'm going to swap the front sway for a 20mm and add a 22-24mm adjustable rear. Here are some before and after pics:

4 years ago the new WRX came out and suppliers started dumping stateside inventories of GC parts. Now suspension stuff for the GC-GF is rare, and usually has to be special ordered from Japan. This thread is ancient.

Why Scary? My Legacy GT was at 18psi (05 2.5GT). It was a little scarier than my 1.8 non turbo impreza, lol

I've only joined this board yesterday, but already I've seen more cool stuff that I could possibly have imagined :D
I figured with the advent of the WRX there'd be interest in mods of all sorts ... but seeing what folks have done to other types of Subarus is pretty wild ... I guess the next thing I'll see is a jazzed up Forester  ;)

I wish I was at home and had this pic. There is this guy who has a forester that goes to the meets/cruises we have. Dropped a good 3 or so inches it looks like, turbo swap, grilles, rims, its freakin clean! He is part of the SWIC (south west impreza slub) part of this site for different locations. I forget his name though.

I have a 93L wagon with KYB-GR-2's and Eibach Springs. I also have the OBX camber kit. Im gonna order some new sway/strut bars in a couple weeks. I just lowered my car and am happy with it for now. Once i get another commission Ill do some more suspension upgrades, than power.
