After about 3 years of constantly running all my lights on all the time, one of my fogs burnt out. I was curious on who is running what bulds in the stock fog lights.
I was thinking the Yellow Stars but I really havent looked into it fully.
Thanks for the help.

I had some PIAA super plasmas in for a while, when one went out I out in 100 watt bulbs. I was told they were to bright and would brown the lens, s I went to Sylvania, pretty sure they are OEM but not positive, only cuz I didnt have 70 bux to waste in a set of lights.

I'm running stock wattage Hella Yellowstars and I'm pretty happy with them. Had them for about 6 months now and no issues. They are definitely yellow

Have you had a problem with browning of the lenses? Bill or Chris or someone at I-speed told me that a 100 watt bulb would brown the lens if I used it all the time.

oh hell... the H4's are 100/80
i had 100 PIAA's (H3's) in the fogs...
and the bulbs burnt up really quickly.
what a waste of money...
i would advise sylvania's or hellas...
quality is better...
i'm currently running Hellas but cant remember the wattage

Im running Sylvanias right now, but Im looking for something a little brighter. I still have the 100 watt bulbs (I took them out following the advice from i-speed) but dont want to ruin the lenses by putting them back in if infact they do brown from to high a wattage.

you could always go with new lights altogether and void the browning problem. i think ive seeen an impreza or two with hella 500's in the fog sockets.

How would the hella's fit in the fog sockets? The hella's are round and the socket is rectanguler.

I was running 100w Sylvania's and the reflector over the bulb itself (not sure if that's the correct term for the part) browned on both lights.
I replaced them w/55w Sylvania's and they're fine now.
I've had everythin from OEM style to PIAA Super Whites and I'm sticking w/OEM style.
You can fit Hella 500's in the OEM area. You'll need some sort of adapter like what Kartboy sells to fit them properly though. I don't think you'll be able to run STi V5/6 fog covers w/the 500's IIRC.
