View Full Version : Psi3 Gauge/Data unit? DrD 07-14-2003, 09:50 PM Anyone out there try one of these things - look to be pretty interesting... xylem007 07-16-2003, 01:05 AM read my mind.. bump.. wrx320 07-17-2003, 10:59 PM I have one. I have the 1004 unit that goes on top of the dash. I also have the shift/warning light that I attached to the left side of the factory column boost guage. I have had it since the beginning of April. DrD 07-17-2003, 11:34 PM So what are your impressions? Is it worth the cost? Do you need additional sensors to monitor oil pressure and temp, etc.? wrx320 07-18-2003, 10:26 AM Yeah, I love it. It works for me because it has the function of 10 or more guages without the ricer boy look of guages on my dash, in my vents, up my A column ( ) in my ashtray, etc. You do need about 275 bux worth of sensors to read oil pressure and temperature. The only drawback is the display gets a little dark and unreadable when the daytime temps start to climb.:( jaypride 07-20-2003, 10:19 AM Originally posted by wrx320 Yeah, I love it. Also you may be paying damn near new price. Arnie 07-22-2003, 03:25 AM I've been considering one (since John Felstead posted his) in pod mount form. For you pod mount folk: are you worried about theft of this nifty device? It seems, if you know what it is, its such and easy thing to steal, just pop it off the dash and unplug the OBD port. Also, how usable are the readings (given optimal visiblity light conditions) at speed? Can you make out boost or temps quickly? As quickly as with a normal gauge? |
