NimrodBoz 07-15-2003, 08:08 PM just a question, but were you really surprised by this? of course such a mod is going to void your warranty! putting a turbo on the RS is generally a very risky thing to do unless you got mad cash to burn. say good bye to your warranty but maybe you can get it insured. might cost a bundle though. JewPac42 07-15-2003, 09:19 PM Uhh, turbo make warranty go bye, bye. There is no way around it. Kostamojen 07-16-2003, 04:23 AM Sell back the extended warranty. HOW CAN I LOOSE?!?!" :disco: Monas :alien: P Charles 07-16-2003, 10:07 PM Actually, they can't void all of your warranty. They CAN refuse to honor any failure they deem related to the modification. In other words, if you go turbo, and your windows fail to operate, the two are unrelated and the widow failure should be covered. Getting a dealer to define the true root cause of any failure and understand correct warranty procedure may be tough though. Try to sell back the warranty or eat it. mykrrrr 07-17-2003, 09:31 PM Originally posted by P Charles Actually, they can't void all of your warranty. Putting a turbo on and your windows failing are totally related...   -mykr. Boxologist 07-17-2003, 10:39 PM keep the warranty and start saving for a newer turbo'd subaru. 2.5RSMatt 07-17-2003, 11:57 PM What are you talking about??? Putting a turbo on and your windows failing are totally related... exact;y what I was thinking. I mean if the blow off is loud enough it could crack the windows. OR if the turbo breaks in some way shapr or form and the car crashes because of it then it was the turbos fault that the windows were smashed. Or not. -Matt |
