Hey, I just got an Audiovox APS-510 alarm, and it has this warranty card that says it must be installed by a professional to get the warranty, what's up with that, I know it's a chance that I'll screw it up (and thousands of other people who "know" what they're doing could too) but is there any way to do it myself and keep the warranty?

Nope, you need to be one of their authorized installers, not just a professional.
