I'm looking to pop down to autozone today and pick up some fluids that are similar to the factory ones. They are for a stock 5spd wrx wagon.

Brake fluid?
Tranny fluid?
Rear diff fluid?

Many thanks in advance. I'm trying to stay away from synthetic in the tranny and brake fluid.

For brake/clutch fluid, I would actually suggest going with Valvoline Synpower DOT3/4 synthetic fluid. It's not very expensive, and does perform better (higher boiling point) than standard DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluids. No downside (except for a few dollars), decent upside.

For rear diff (which should be GL-5 spec), just get a good 75w90 GL-5 gear oil. Synthetics can be helpful here in reducing running temps.
For manual transmission, which has bronze(?) synchros, a different mix of wear additives may be needed to prevent damage to the synchros -- use whatever the owners manual/shop manual says (sorry, don't have mine handy right now).

I've been using Moble 1 in the tranny and rear diff for a couple years and love it. Its a little expensive though.
