Anyone have a picture of a 2.2L engine in the engine bay? I got the wrong set of wires from the dealer for my wifes '97 Outback and the parts guy said they were for a 2.2L when I returned them. (my wife bought the wires with the car parked right outside the parts counter and they messed up which wires to give her, go fugure) I'd like to see if he was right. They were nothing like the 2.5L wires and I'm kinda curious to see how they look on the engine. Thanks in advance!!!:)

Bring a wire in with you to the parts department... there are two distinctly different types of wires for that engine :).

Wouldn't happen to know the part number for the other plug set would you?
I think I got the wrong set from the dealer (SOA430Q118). These have 2 wires with 90 degree turns off the coil packs and 2 straight. Mine are all straight.
Thanks!

I kept replacing my wires with Denso First Time Fit from www.sparkplugs.com , not cheap but not the greatest. They still kept breaking apart every time I changed plugs, without fail. I had a company here in San Diego called Kingsborne Wire Werks build me a set identical to the OEM for about $40, so far they have been great and got rid of an intermittant #4 cyl misfire CEL that kept popping up with the Denso wires. Give those a try instead of the Dealer ones if you get the chance. http://www.kingsborne.com/
