Does anyone know what the differenece is between the Escort SR7 (with the ZR3 laser shifter added) and the SRX? I thought the SRX was supposed to be the newer one, but at radartest.com their tests show the SR7 trouncing the SRX in both K and Ka bands. What's the deal? I looked online at Escort's website, and I didn't find anything useful. All of the specs they give make the two look identical. Thanks in advance for the help!

According to Escort, the SRX was only available at car dealers, the SR7 is the newer model and is available at local car audio/security dealers. And the SR7 doesn't include the ZR3, though it can be added for an additional ~$500. Do a search for "best radar" in the car audio forum and look for a review of the SR7 by Judge Mental\

Thanks Josh for the help! I actually did a search before I started this thread and I stumbled upon that thread you mentioned. From reviews I've read, I thought the SR7 was better, but for some reason I thought the SRX was the new one. My boss was going to get a K40 for his new Z06, and I told him that I've read some bad reviews about the K40, so he made it my job to find him the best remote radar detector out there. Needless to say, I didn't want to screw that one up. Thanks again for your help! I'm gonna tell him to go with the SR7 with the ZR3 laser shifter added.
