I was wondering how a WRX serves as a daily commuter? How is it in rush hour traffic (good enough low-end, comfortable, etc.)?

View Full Version : WRX as a commuter JE24 03-27-2001, 07:20 AM I was wondering how a WRX serves as a daily commuter? How is it in rush hour traffic (good enough low-end, comfortable, etc.)? ScoobyDriver 03-27-2001, 07:22 AM Feels like my RS, but with better gas mileage. Shane Kullman Prog 03-27-2001, 07:22 AM I think its a great commuter, the seats are comfy, the clutch is light, and the off bost power is more than adequate to loaf in stop and go traffic... btw, with over 1k miles on it, my shifter is not vibrating anymore! LDragon 03-27-2001, 07:51 AM even with me learning how to drive stick, the car is great for a commuter car. plenty of low-end power, and it will always happily jump up to higher rpms if you don't watch it. i'm at 450 miles, driving smooth. finally feel comfortable driving stick! WRX4me 03-27-2001, 07:51 AM My commute is about 40 miles a day and I love it. All of my friends said I would hate having a stick in traffic but I don't mind it at all. WagonMonster 03-27-2001, 08:34 AM LA Traffic 10 Miles, 45 minutes The car is still a dream to drive. ShookUp 03-27-2001, 08:55 AM Just think about days in not so good weather like rain or snow. The only thing that going to slow you down is the guy in front of you driving a mini-van. blkwag 03-27-2001, 09:05 AM I commute 100 miles a day(mostly highway). Subtle things that are often overlooked is that chassis refinement, noise, ride, comfort level, interior ergonomics, etc. which has greatly improved from the last RS model that I've owned. The new WRX believe it or not is more of a "civilized" car. |
