Well its only been 2 and a half years since I've owned my car and now its just a matter of a few more weeks of driving to 48k. Now, I'm guessing most of the GC's have hit that mark and the last few are going to soon.. or even the GD's.

Ppl with the usual mods to our N/A cars, anybody considered purchasing or have purchased the extended warranty? I heard its for 2 more years, 'til 100k, for $1500..?

I haven't had time to go to a dealer to inquire about it but if there's a majority of parts they'd cover and of which I haven't modded or yet, I'd be inclined to go for it.

Anybody has any thoughts on this? Thanks all.

your drivetrain warranty from the factory is good until 100,000 km, so you have to decide whether you think $1500 dollars worth of other stuff is going to break during the extended warranty time period.

I personally think that it won't be worth it, unless you've been having problems with your car and little things have been breaking all over.

hey Kenny,

i didn't get the extended warranty but yeah, get the pads changed. just be aware that ever since i got them changed, the scratches came back....only way to keep them "scratchless" is to make sure the windows are completely clean before you roll them down. impossible i think.....

at least they'll look good for anothe 3-4 months.

OK, my sister's 99 RS got like a 6 year extended warrenty on top of the 3 from Subaru. So far the only thing that I need to replace is the freaking cable under the chair that allow it to slide forward automatically when the access lever is pulled. Everything else isn't cover because they're all wear and tear.

I had this done before too (driver side only).. but within a week, new scratches were born... wasn't worth the time.. just my 2 cents.
