I have had a new Exedy Clutch and Flywheel in for about 1300 miles now in my 00 RS and the other night, It would not go into 1st gear. I put he clutch in and out several times and no change. I know this was not good for it but I pushed a little harder and it went in, with no grinding, I only did this because I was in the middle of traffic. It was the same from 1st to 2nd. It felt weird, tight, but it would go in without too much force. I, just this minute drove it around the corner and now it feels alright, not exactly like it was before but it feels ok. I need to know if it is alright to drive becauseI need to be able to get to work. Any help, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That doesn't sound like it would have too much to do with your new clutch or flywheel. Maybe something with the gears, shifter linkage itself. Have you checked your tranny fluids anytime? Maybe if you changed fluids it might help.

Yeah, I know. Im going to check them tomorrow and hope that that is all that it is. I cant afford a new tranny right now and I have no warrenty left. I drove it again a little later today to see if it was still doing it and discovered that the sticky tight feeling builds up as it is driven more and more. When I first got in, it felt ok, not like before but ok, wasnt hard to put in gear but wasnt as smooth as before.
