For the wagon owners -- the rear door is held up by two shocks. Do these shocks ever need to be oiled or serviced? If so, how?

I use my trunk several times a day and wondered about wear and tear.

They should be sealed and not require any maintenance. I've never done any service on the hatch shocks on my 95 legacy wagon and they still work fine.

nope, no servicing, if they break, they break. it's a one use item. they are relatively cheap
