2. The 6MT GB

5. Flywheel

Here is the complete list of what is needed:
1. 02+WRX
2. The 6MT GB
3. Center Driveshaft
4. Shifter assembly
5. 3:90 Ring and pinion set
6. Clutch & flywheel (optional)
labor is usually $800
Takes about a day to do for someone who has a decent amount of experience.

Alright Dylan, if you had the parts, and I drove up to your shop from Phoenix, how much would the full conversion be including parts? I see a big variance in parts depending on where I look.
Edit: Found it in the other thread
I'm trying to find a way to make it more afordable. $5900 for a full conversion is good, but I'm still trying to bring down the price.

Make sure you get the one with the front lsd:devil: and if you are going to all the trouble get a r180 rear diff:cool:.
oo and the sti clutch is much nicer:D
Do the swap your self and youll save a grand.

if you do swap the r160 for the r180, you're going to need to upgrade the rear rotors, calipers, hubs, etc.

The parts would be $5900 plus $800 in labor.
totoherbs-
Doing the R180 swap adds about $2400 to the swap. The STi clutch isn't any nicer than the 5MT clutch (I'm replaceing my 6MT STi clutch with an Exedy). Yep you could save yourself $800 if you do it yourself, it's a lot of fun, trust me.

Strong option. New gears and input shaft. That GB strengthening kit I have a post on and a bearing may do the trick. I suspect 2 of the three will work for un road racing types. What do I know. Drag guys will have to keep looking. I recomend a 67 Camaro.
