does anyone know what the final drive ratio on the MY00 2.5RS
is?

I'd like to run a 3.900 ratio, what new differentials would I need;
and is anyone aware of where I can pick them up?

5MT: 4.111
4EAT: 4.444

I think the Legacy Turbo may have run a 3.9 final gear ratio.

final drive gearset for a 5MT ?

The Impreza L's came with a 3.900 final drive. Just remember the front diff has to be the same as the rear.

out of an Impreza Legacy..

why would you want a lower ratio .. better gas milage?

higher ratio=better acceleration

if your still set on it do it is best to buy a whole transmission +rear diff
to change the front diff you have tear the whole tranny apart

i would love a 4.44 ratio :)
