I'm getting a nice pair of bulbs for my fog lamps. It just occurred to me, though, that if I take out all the screws, remove the factory H3s and put in my new bulbs, will the fog light alignment be messed up? They seem perfect now, and I've never toyed with them. I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't install the new bulbs because I may never get the alignment back to perfect. Is it easy to realign the fog lamps, or do any of you guys have any experiences with replacing fog light bulbs?

Aiming is easy...

no your fog light aim will not be affected as the aiming spring hardware will come off with the foglight assembly when you pull it out. :) the aim screw is the one with a gray plastic behind it.

you will want to aim those foglights upward anyway. stock aiming is absolutely useless. when you mix them in with the low beams it's insanely bright... there is an adjustment screw that is very well designed and easy to use.

I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Given the low mounting position of the fogs, aiming it upwards to supplement the lows would only improve lighting in certain ranges, but given the angle of the centerline, the fogs may blind oncoming traffic from a distance.

i aimed mine up too, but not so high to blind on-coming traffic.
the factory aim is too low imo too. :)
