First time to the track with the swap done, she ran a 13.925 with a 1.97 60ft. This is on 11.5lbs of boost. The damn tdo5 is so laggy its not even funny. Cant wait to upgrade everything.

ONLY 11.5 boost? I run 10 pounds in third gear 4200 RPM's. I am boosting like 15-16. How are you so low? Same year JDM WRX and turbo. Is the swap done in a 2.5rs? The turbo does lag a little but when it hits holy **** back in seat. I will do 1/4 mile soon this weekend or next. How heavy is car? Mine is 2670 pounds, dam engine DOHC adds a lot. Let me know more about your swap. Did you do JDM tranny and rear diff? Tranny makes huge difference closer gear ratios. Friend who did same swap stayed with all US stuff just transplanted engine is rnning only 5 pounds of boost. Well any ways let me know more.

The TD05 is considered to be a faster spooling, higher flowing turbo than most of the IHI's. I wouldn't dis it just yet.

ahah same thing as you have. Black intercooler! Y boosting so low better check for leaks. It is my stock boost with now boost controller. Did you get the JDM boost pressure regulator with engine? I know that friend didn't have it and he only boosted 5. Let me know what happens. And what DP and exhaust did you go? I had to modify my invidia DP by 2-3 inches or somthing so I could use any WRX exhuast what did you do?

the blackintercooler is sucks, that has to first on my list to upgrade. have you had any problems with heat soak yet, as soon as mine gets hot it drops boost down to 8lbs.

I bought a HKS dp and cat back for a 99 wrx from jw racing in europe. Fits perfect.

I am starting to think my motor came out of a wagon.

11.5psi is what that motor runs stock.

There are a few guys in the UK that have fitted Ver6 and higher IC to EJ20G's.

11.5psi is stock for my motor, I think the wagons came stock at 11.5psi and the coupes came stock at 15.0psi. I am not sure so feel free to correct me.

It seems you have fuel cut off at that point 11.8 actually? and I as well at 14.8?! I saw it on UK site. You can get a special plug and play thing that overides MAP and lets you boost 18.8. If you would like to know more message me. Also , there is special trick that we can do invalving a chip. If you would like to know mroe about that let me know. I ahve been reading up on Pre 97 JDM wrx's. I have read over 400 pages on everythign about the car.

Is it just me or do these times seem a little slow? The GC is more than 300lbs lighter than the WRX.

I should be picking up my swap this week and if I don't get a high 12 I am going to be pissed.

My car is a MY00 with a complete MY02 drivetrain, with a JDM DP, header w/up pipe, HKS carbon Ti cat back, an Injen CAI, pully, and a Yoshio ECU... I would think that this combo is good for 300+ CHP

this was my first time at the track with this car. 13.925 with 1.97 60ft and 11.5lbs of boost on just a turboback,isnt that bad.
With a better 60ft i am looking at 13.6s.

geronimo66: look at your mods you should be able to pull off high to mid 12s

Eby ran a 12.6 with his swap. His car is a MY94 L with a 2002 drivetrain, HKS downpipe, and MBC.

whats the weight diffrence between a L and 2.5rs?

My L weighs in at 2800 even, but the older ones range from 2400-2600.

It all depends what you have taken out of car eheheh! And lightened with other materials.

Yea, I hope I can pull high 12's, I figure thats pretty good for stock turbo, intercooler, injectors. I want to upgrade the turbo to a VF22, 550's, and a TMIC. But that can wait.... I need good brakes, and some wheels.

When I get the car back I will weigh it. I so can't wait!!!

my car feels really slow, i have a jdm ej20 in my impreza.. with some mods not much, and its kinda not tuned well. which kinda sucks for me :(

i found two intake leaks today after tearing it apart. I was able to fix one of them which seemed to help with the lag.

I talked to the shop today and it should be done next week, so I will first weigh it then make time for a trip to the track.
