Found this in the March '01 Sports Car International.

It was taken at an FIA icerace in Quebec Canada where it got 2nd behind the dominating Opel Astra. Its driven by Michel Guegan, Bertrand Balas, and Christophe Ballas. Has a 2.0L "...derived from the company's WRC Impreza..."

Quite amazing. That's the only real racing Forester i know of; anybody else know of any?

I believe Syms had a forester that they raced in the Japanese touring car championship a few years back when the Forester first came out. I don't think it was particularly competitive, but it sure looked cool and the seats in that thing were very cool looking, I even priced them $850 each...

Open the Forester photos album. Pictures 3 and 4 show different Foresters in a rally cross. The other photos are, uh, interesting to say the least!

I have another one at home, from a Subaru publication in the Carribean, that has a photos in France, also ice racing. It's totally side ways. I have to scan that in.
