My wife and I took the Forester out to the drags tonight. I drove it one time and got a 17.000. My wife drove it several times and got a best of 17.151. She had never drag raced before and she had a blast. Whoever wasn't driving was riding as passenger, so without a passenger our Forester is probably a high 16 sec Scooby.

Not bad, now it just needs a turbo... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Has anyone else subjected their Forester to this type of torture? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif I had never seen times posted before.

Not bad. Is it an AT or MT?

I haven't, at least not yet.

Not sure I'd want to abuse the clutch, but it would be fun. A buddy of mine has a big block muscle car and I've been down to Capitol Raceway for a few runs with him.

17 flat sounds good. What was your trap speed?

It is a 5 speed.

I don't have the slip in front of me, but I think the trap speed was around 79 mph.

I launched it similar to the way I launched my RS before I turbo'd it but the Forester bogged down big time at the launch. In the RS I would get 2.00 all day log and I think the Forester was 2.3 or 2.4. I would need more practice to get a decent 16.XX time.

Hey, how about posting photos of a Forester doing the 1/4 mile! I'd love to see that.

You guys need a test platform for that Forester turbo kit?

Being the civic-minded person that I am, I'd volunteer for that...

I haven't draged my wife forester yet(at least on the track http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif.
Did some mud hopping in it though ..that was fun http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif.

For some strange reason on wet days, civic's always want race me at this one light that at the very bottom a this one steep hill when I'm driving the Forester. Don't they know any better... hello AWD here.

Well it never fails, when the light turn green and I'm completely through the intersection the I can hear and see that the poor civic is still spinning it wheels on the wet payment with the rear tire just crossing into intersection.

(BTW: when I reach 50mph (speed limit is 45mph) I back off, then waive to pissed-off civic as it finally catches up and zooms past he-he)
