I'm fast approaching the 30,000 mile service. Does anyone know where I can get a K&N drop in filter for my 2000 Forester.

Thanks

Chuck

Chuck,
The best price I've found outside a GB is from PerformanceProducts.com...They have the filter you need for 41.75 plus shipping. They actually had one in stock when I drove down there which was cool since none of the local shops had them instock. You can call them on their 800# -->1-(800) 789-1891.

No intake yet. I think the next thing is a 18mm rear bar & then maybe end links front & rear. Right now it's fast enough for me, but it handles too soft for my tastes. I also would like to fit some knobbier tires. I want something to beat down the dirt roads with. I was thinking Bridgestone 205/75/15 AT's, but Tire Rack says they won't fithttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif. It looks close, but I think they'd fit. Any opinions on this?

Thanks again

Tire Rack is very conservative, and often wrong. They said my 225/60R16s would not fit, but after a year's worth of driving on them, I am 100% certain they were wrong. Mine has never rubbed.

Folks in the Yahoo Forester Club often use 205/75R15 tires, and one even has gone to 215/75R15s (but that's pushing it IMO).

Check out DiscountTireDirect.com, they sold me the 225s after promising me they would fit. And they were right!
