Has anyone retrofitted heated mirrors from an S model to an L model? The mirrors just bolt on, but I was wondering what else I would need. Wiring, relays? Is the wiring already in my L model?

Hard to say. Ask a dealership mechanic who might be familiar with the internals.

I know all the speakers are pre-wired, even if you don't have them. For example, the tweeter kits actually only includes tweeters. The wiring is there.

I saw a Forester L with heated mirrors at Mid-Ohio. It had PA plates on it. I looked for the owner but never found him. As for asking the mechanics, if my dealer ever hires one I'll ask.
