Tell me what you think, guys. The rims are 17x7.5 +48 VR TE37's with 225/45/17 Yoko's AVS Sports. I am not keeping them on the Forester. They are for the WRX and I just wanted to see how they look on the Forester. Oh yeah! Those rims look great on the Forester - confirms my thinking that they'd look even better on a pre-'01 S with the slate painted lower cladding. As for lowering that's your call - you live in CA and if all you do is pavement driving then by all means go for it.

Paint the chrome surround on the JDM grille and you'll be looking even sweeter!

Curious, though - have you had any problems with the clear replacement lenses leaking?

No problems with leaking. I had to modify the place where the bulb bolts in as on US Forester the corner lense not only is a parking light, but a turn signal also. In Japan, they have a side marker, so the corner lense is only the parking light. The bulb housings are different. If you are talking about the rear clusters, then also no problem. Just use the old balck sticky stuff to seal it.

The chrome grill will of course get painted. I am really anti-chorme by nature, hehe.

How did you remove the SUBARU off the tailgate and add the FORESTER.
What about the holes left over after removal.....body filler/paint...or are the holes there and not visible in the photo.
How about exhaust/muffler...stock?

I will not keep the rims, at least for now, 225/45/17 is not the correct size for the Forester. I will use the rims and tires on the WRX and then when I use up the tires, I will get SE37's for the WRX and use TE37's with 225/55/17 on the Forester. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Thanks for the info on the corners. How did you modify where the bulb bolts in? It's a nice subtle mod and I'm starting to consider it.

This is one killer forester. The seats rule and tint, corners, trunk badge mod.

It would look better with 55 series tires, which would fill up the fenders a little better. That's why it looks like it needs to be lowered - it doesn't.

I'm glad you're painting the grille. It looks out of place in a blacked-out car.

The seats are schweet! Looks ready to race.

I don't think you need to paint the lower cladding. Looks fine as is. The dark grey blends with the black and you really don't notice it much, plus it's scratch resistant for rally cross.

Now, slap on skid plates and hit the rallies!

I've got a chance to get some wheels from a MY01 RS, will these fit my MY01 Forester? I've been told the offset is different by Subaru ie. Forester-48mm and RS-53mm. Btw they asked for my name to log the call...you think perhaps for future reference incase of a warranty issue?
