The infamous back seat headrests. Can't see a damn thing out the rear with those things in. What's wrong with Subaru designers?!? Where do you guys keep your head rests? We have a child seat on one side and keep the other two in the spare tire compartment. The salesperson said we should at least keep them around just in case we have passengers.

I leave mine on all the time.But then, mine's a '99 so I only have 2. I can see between them in the rear view. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

I swapped mine, front to rear and vice-versa. Mine's a 1998, but I imagine you could do that even with the new ones.

Why? Because the ones that were in back tilt forward, and are more comfy for trips.

Since your fronts have that hole, if you swapped them you might find they are no longer a nuisance. I'm not sure if they'll fit but it's worth a try.
