ForesterPerformance 04-18-2001, 06:55 PM Seriously, if you are thinking of doing this (I am trying to just duplicate the performance...) you will need the suspension, wheels, ground effects, hood, and if your are really going for a total STi look, the interior. If you want the performance too, you will need an aftermarket turbo kit with the intercooler, and the STi performance exhaust. (or a complete 2.0l turbo motor) You would probably be better off in the long run just importing an STi Forester... But if you are serious about converting yours, I guess you should try either an authorized STi dealer or www.Takakaira.com (http://www.Takakaira.com) or some other Japan-parts seller. Good luck. Hope you have deep pockets. wop 04-19-2001, 09:12 AM ForesterPerformance- the forester will be a daily driver. I am either going to keep my 2.5RS, and turn it into a project car or... get a 1993 impreza (for a project) and yet another option would be... to get a 240SX (as a project). You would probably be better off in the long run just importing an STi Forester... I don't think so. importing a whole car would be a tremendous pain in the ass, especially in california. thanks, -wop [This message has been edited by wop (edited April 19, 2001).] wop 04-19-2001, 09:52 AM Hope you have deep pockets. I do. but you must remember, it is not always about money but... about priorities. -wop http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif ForesterPerformance 04-19-2001, 10:46 AM I don't get it. Daily driver?? What does that have to do with anything? My Forester is a daily driver. Most of the STi Foresters in Japan are daily drivers. If all yuo want is the hood and ground effects, they are available from any J-PArts vendors. Heck, I bet iSR can get 'em for you. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif And, stay away from the Nissan. Subarus are MUCH better cars. (IMHO) http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif wop 04-20-2001, 08:48 AM I meant daily driver, as compaired to the project car (which will not be a "daily driver"). the plan is... the forester would be more show and the other car would be more go. don't get me wrong I love my subie. but the 240SX + SR20DET = big power, big fun, big drifts and little cost(relatively speaking). -wop [This message has been edited by wop (edited April 20, 2001).] |
