Don't have the numbers for the 2002, but the 2001 is right at 3200# M/T and 3255# A/T.

For the record, the RS is almost 2900 lbs, so 300 more for the extra height and cargo space isn't that much. 10% is all. The new 2002 wrx is right around 3000lbs. (if I am not mistaken) so, the Forester is right there...

I'd say the 2002 Forester should weigh close to the 2001s. There are only a few minor changes, if I remember correctly.

The S Premiums weigh quite a bit because of that HUGE moonroof!

FYI - Forester L weighs about the same as the 2002 Outback Sport.

And it offers far more room inside.
