As far as I know, only myself and Imprezident are running Impreza struts & springs for a lower suspension in our Foresters. Anyone else? If so, what are you using and how do you like the ride?

i also have a lowered forester!
i am running with an impreza set up w/ the adjustable agx's and the 5zigen lowering springs. front dropped 3.5 inches and the rear dropped 3 inches. the ride quality is great but that could be changed once i but on the 17's this weekend. i also just received part of my zerosports kit can't wait to get it on!!! i'll keep you posted on the lasted mods.

mine is only a inch and a half lower, a combination of JDM Forester SG STi springs and the wheel and tire combination.

actually, now that this post is back from the dead, lol, the WRX suspension on my 98 Forester is great, but its much lower in the back than the front. (I assume because its off a sedan rather than a wagon) So i'm thinking of maybe trying, TRYING, some lower springs in the front, and leaving stock in rear?? Any idea if this would work, or would it totally mess the ride up?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Good night! Why are we going over this all again? I am running 04 USDM STI suspention! Works great! Lowers car about 3" all around! Little stiffer but handles great!

Jeff I'm using WRX 4EAT wagon springs on my XT and the ride height is great IMHO.
1 3/4 lower front 1 3/8 rear. I think 02-03 wagon rear springs will help you out with the low back issue.
Here is a link with my pictures etc..

I gotta imagine that's hella low... I did just the STi (Impreza) springs and it's really low... and that's only a 2 " drop...

USDM STi springs on stock FXT struts. Just fine for my purposes (looks, moderate handling improvement). My stock struts do not show any signs of failing. Although I'm not ruling it out.

Hahaha!! You bunch of dorks! The original post date of this thread was 04-23-01! That is 3 and a half years ago! I haven't even HAD my Forester for a year-and-a-half! Sheesh!

Yes, I sold out and went the RS route! But at least its an RS-T and not a bug-eye! Maybe someday I will get another Forester and join you guys again. The new Forester XT is nice. But i think I would rather get my old '99 back (my mom bought it from me) and Turbo it! (If I ever go that route...)

Yeah, but it was your site that originally spawned a rise in the membership at www.subaruforester.com . When you were threatening to take down your site, I was out looking for a domain to host it in, and came across that website. I'm now the site administrator (also member #3), and our board is now over 2350 members strong (internationally) and growing.

BTW, I'm now the Performance Operations Director (Pleiad7 is the owner) of an '04 Forester XT Premium, and it sits on a set of Forester twi(STi) springs, with 20mm swaybar, and Poltec (coming soon) endlinks.

Hey all,
i might as well chime in. my slow ass NA Forester sits on a set of prototype JIC FLT-A2's spring rates of 7frt. and 5rr. Kg that is. it does okay as I have no power to keep up with the forced induction guys.

hey Roo, whatever happened to your SF white Forester?? You couldn't resist the force of the XT, huh? :p

ferretboy, I know the feeling 'cause I still have my NA Forester! But at least the 22mm front/rear swaybars compensate in the suspension area.

Well, if this old post brought the ferret back to post, I may as well. ;)

Used to be on JIC FLT-A2s with 7kg/6kg, now sits on an '04 STi takeoff suspension.

I don't own an XT. I happen to be the Performance Operations Director for Pleiad7's XT (read: drive fast, change oil, install XM radio, maintain vehicle), but I personally own a 1994 Subaru SViXen. She is my daily driver, and I enjoy the ride every time I start her up. :D :D

Unless they say otherwise, they usually mean Impreza STI.
