I'm thinking about installing a 6-Spd w/DCCD in my WRX. Does anyone know what is required to get the DCCD working?

Thanks - Neil

Aside from the ajusting switch, you will need the EMCD control unit and the harness for it. Unless someone sells it separate, that section of the wiring is part of the whole dash harness. In my opinion it is better in the long run is to get a programable EMCD control such as the GEMS unit which alot of rally guys use. Fully programable simular to a aftermarket engine ecu. If you go that direction, you will not nee the stock adjuster switch since the GEMS uses a different control switch as well comes with a harness.

Coming from someone who has DCCD in my STI. I find I use it in automatic all the time anyway Do you want it because you are reallly going to use it or because you think it would be a cool thing to have?

does anyone have a link to a place that sells a gems emcd? I'm trying to find out info being that I want to turn my 94 into a racing beast. Auto-x, rally and track fun. a little drag wouldn't hurt either. Basically a all around sports car.
Thanks, Micah

You see, the DCCD we get most likely won't have the automatic mode. DCCD in itself give you a rear-biased center diff that will lock when needed - for me, having the dial or not matters little, but without it I will probably be equivalent to swapping from a 50:50 LSD center to a 35:65 open diff center. We all know how much work an open center diff does in an AWD now

I, on the other hand, am after this swap when I get turbo'd...
